Discover the contraindications of the Ginger Massage

Fever or infectious processes. Heat increases the metabolic load and can aggravate the process.

Acute inflammatory processes (recent injuries, flare-up arthritis, acute pain). Heat increases inflammation and vascular response.

Thrombosis, thrombophlebitis or vascular risk. Vasodilation can promote thrombus mobilization.

Uncontrolled cardiovascular diseases. Heat and stimulation can alter the hemodynamic response.

Alterations in sensitivity (neuropathies, advanced diabetes). There is a risk of burns due to a decrease in thermal perception.

Injured skin, dermatitis, infections or burns. Ginger and heat can aggravate skin irritation.

Allergy or sensitivity to ginger or essential oils. Risk of skin or irritant reaction.

Very evident varicose veins or capillary fragility, alterations in microcirculation. Heat can worsen venous dilation.

Oncology patients. Heat and circulatory stimulation may not be adequate; Medical authorization and avoidance of intense heat is required.

Neurological diseases. There may be an alteration in the response to heat and stimulation, increasing the risk of an inappropriate reaction.

Epilepsy. Intense thermal and sensory stimulation can act as a trigger.

Children. Greater skin and thermal sensitivity, with risk of excessive response to heat and active ingredients. Recommended age. From 18 years old. In minors, the skin and thermoregulatory system are more sensitive, increasing the risk in thermal treatments and with essential oils.

Pregnancy. Heat, stimulation of energy points and the use of essential oils can generate unsafe responses; These areas and stimuli should be avoided.
